The Czech Chamber of Sign Language Interpreters: artistic interpreting between years 2000-2020

The bachelor's thesis Czech Chamber of Sign Language Interpreters: Artistic Interpretation in the Years 2000-2020 deals with the artistic interpretation of theater performances for deaf audiences. The thesis aims to present the Czech Chamber of Sign Language Interpreters as a professional organization of interpreters for the deaf with significant activities in the field of artistic interpretation and with an overlap into other areas. Based on the available sources, the aim is to create a detailed overview of theater performances that were implemented under the professional management of the Czech Chamber of Sign Language Interpreters. The work also includes a semi-structured interview, supplementary interviews (which served as a substitute for sources that were not accessible) and questionnaire surveys designed for interpreters of theater performances and supervisors who work in the artistic field of interpreted performances.
